Witnessed a 21 percent rise in quarterly profit

A rise of 21 percent in quarterly profit has been experienced by Bharti Airtel, India’s top most mobile operator. It is proved to be a fastest growing in wireless market by keeping steady tariffs as compared to other service providers. Bharti shares also got effected by this, the Stock Market Index shows that the shares rose about 3.5 percent in early deals after the results. Bharti also said that their January-March net profit rose to 22.39 billion rupees under US accounting standards from 18.52 billion rupees a year ago.

There has been found an increase in mobile users last quarter, it has been recorded 8.3 million which boosted its total to nearly 94 million or about 24 percent of the market. A 15 percent fall was witnessed on average revenue per users to 305 rupees last quarter as it won more new users in rural areas, where users talk less on phones and only some use mobiles for answering calls only.
